Archdeacon: Gail Wilson
Archdeacon Gail Wilson serves a full time call at Peace Lutheran Church in Glen Burnie, Md.

MBA. Married to Charles Wilson, Archdeacon Gail left Florida and her position as
the Director of International Student Affairs at Florida Tech when her husband
took a Naval Architect position with the US Coast Guard in Curtis Bay. |

After a time as a substitute teacher at Glen Burnie High School she became the
Executive Director of the Anne Arundel County Literacy Council and through her
efforts literacy programs were opened in both the Jennifer Road Detention Center
and The Ordnance Road Correction Center. This work led to a position at Anne
Arundel Community College as the Lead Instructional Specialist and Curriculum
Developer for the Success Through Education Program at the jail in Glen Burnie.
In 2003, Pastor Bill Gohl, Jr. at Peace Lutheran Church in Glen Burnie asked
Gail to join the staff as the Parish Administrator and later added Christian
Educator to her responsibilities.
Deacon Gail serves the current pastor of Peace Church, The Reverend Penny R.
Olson, and the congregation in a variety of ministries.
Elected to the Office of Archdeacon in April 2009 she is working to showcase The
Order of St. Stephen Deacon as the bridge between church and community in an
atmosphere of service.
In her spare time she enjoys golf, reading and just chilling with her husband.
Her constant companion is her dog Spirit who is never far from her side. Her
favorite scripture is Isaiah 6:8.

Hospital Visitation Ministry.
